Fish and Chips at the Exeter Whistlestop is classic crunchy treat in the small town of Exeter, Ca.

The Whistle Stop is an all-American diner with a locomotive vibe, serving up, some of the best food in the Central Valley. Sherry Forcum the owner is full of life, and that twinkle in her eye is not just from the sparkles, but it’s the real deal enthusiasm and love for people, food, and her community.

The Whistle Stop fish and chips is made every Friday with a special shipment of fresh lingcod, cleaned and fillet on the premises, battered with a secret tempura recipe, and served with fries, cole slaw, and tartar sauce. If malt vinegar is more your style they’ve got that too!

About The Author
- Born in the Philippines, raised in New Jersey, and living in Visalia. I'm a fan of people and the culture they create. I arrived here from Los Angeles in 2006 teary eyed from the "smell of money" (a.k.a. cow poop) and what I thought was a lack of "things to do".I met some wonderful friends along the way that helped guide me through our close knit communities to discover a growing art culture, a love for fine food, great music, and community. It's time we share this richness with each other and the rest of the world - this is Joaquin Around.Do you have recommendations, or content to share, contact us here on the site or email me directly at niccolo@joaquinaround.com
